Rebecca Peterson

Rebecca Peterson is a senior at the University of Iowa where she is studying journalism, writing, and music. She is from Runnells, Iowa and is on track to graduate in May of 2019. She is an aspiring magazine and music journalist with passions for the arts and the media. She has her heart set on someday, running around NYC. She is a fourth-year member in the Hawkeye Marching Band and is currently serving as the piccolo section leader. She is also a fourth-year member of the Iowa Pep Band and concert band. Rebecca is co vice president of Ed on Campus, the University of Iowa's magazine writing and editing organization. She also spends time creating content for the organization's magazine, VERVE. She enjoys learning more about the industry alongside welcoming and determined writers. When she's not playing her flute/piccolo or writing, she can usually be found listening to music, spending time with friends and family, or obsessing over other people's dogs. She strives to make finding the little things in this wonderful world her forte!
